2010 Census Information The next Complete Count Committee (CCC) meeting will be held Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010,  at 2 p.m. in the Commissioners' boardroom at 203 W. Broughton St. In 2000, the year of the last census, only 58 percent of the county's citizens were counted, which resulted in the county being ineligible for its share of more than $300 billion in Federal grants. We ask that citizens click on the link above to learn more about the census or call 229-248-3030 and speak to CCC member Barbara Parsons for more information. All census information is confidential and is not given to any other agency, so citizens are encouraged to please report all household members accurately when they receive their 10-question census form.
