  Vehicle License Plates/Registration
By law, residents are required to secure a Georgia license and auto tag within 30 days of moving to the state. Car tags may be purchased, picked up, and ad valorem taxes paid, at the Decatur County Tax Commissioner's Office, located in the County Courthouse on Water Street.
You may register to vote at the Decatur County Courthouse Annex, next door to the County Courthouse located on Water Street. You must be 18 years of age, a resident of Georgia, and registered at least 30 days prior to an election in order to vote.
Voter registration is also available in conjunction with the purchase of a Georgia driver's license (MOTOR VOTER) through the Georgia State Patrol.

County Calendar
The next regular Board of Commissioners meeting is 9 a.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2008, at County Administrative offices on Broughton Street. Call 248-3030 for more information. Commission minutes from previous meetings can be viewed at bottom of County Commission main page.
The Second Annual Decatur County Employee Health Fair will be held Tuesday, August 19, at the Administration Building at 203 W. Broughton St. It is recommended that any employee wishing to participate in the free lab work should fast at least 12 hours before having blood drawn. Smoking Cessation classes begin in September, as well as a series of "Lunch & Learn" health sessions.
